Candalario M "Candy" Landin

Candy, as everyone knew him, had a smile for everyone that crossed his path. He suddenly left this world to be with the Lord, on Oct. 13, 2007.

He was a life-long resident of Ozona. Member of Templo Bautista Jerusalem. Retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after 15 years, and was recently working with Sorrelly's Hot Shot. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was also an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan.

Candy M. Landin, 67, was born in Ozona to Julia and Candelario H. Landin on Sept. 2, 1940, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him death were his brothers Roman and Lionel Landin and sister Angelina Landin and his first wife Ida Wansey Landin.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Landin of 26 years of Ozona; nine sons, Mike Daugomah of Oklahoma City, Okla., John Daugomah of Maricopa, Ariz., Paul Daugomah of Oklahoma City, Okla., Felix Flores of Grand Prairie, David (Havis) Landin of Ozona, Arthur Landin of Denver, Colo., Candelario Landin III of Mesa, Ariz., Roberto Landin of Clewiston, Fla. and Daniel Landin of Ozona; one daughter Leticia Payne of Ozona. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister Elia Swearingen of Ozona and brothers Roberto Landin of Carlsbad, Texas and Armando Landin of Grand Prairie.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007 in Templo Bautista Jerusalem with burial in Lima Cemetery. Arrangements are by Preddy Funeral Home.
